About Us
Our goal at Sunflower Psychiatry is to help our clients achieve a balanced lifestyle. We develop a three-pronged approach to patient care by incorporating nutritional, chemical and therapeutic aspects catered towards each client’s needs.
There is often more to Psychiatry than what is contained in the mind. We know that throwing pills at patients is not the best way to treat everyone. Our approach offers alternative interventions-with a focus on diet and nutrition- in addition to traditional medication management.
We treat a variety of mental health issues, ranging from insomnia, ADHD, Depression, PTSD, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, to eco-anxiety and OCD. We can also help taper down medications in those who seek to reduce or stop their previous treatment. With the patient, we develop a plan to make goals attainable so progress is maintainable.
If you are interested in working with medical professionals who are non-judgmental, perceptive, and willing to work with you, Sunflower Psychiatry would love to help you make your world brighter.
Dr Hannah Brock D.O.
Sunflower Psychiatry was founded by Dr Brock when she felt there was a gap in the needs of patients she was treating. Many of them were not receiving the care that was required for appropriate treatment during a standard psychiatric approach. She prides herself on spending quality time with each patient to get a broad sense of what is contributing to their mental health. Dr Brock takes a holistic approach to treating each patient, focusing on relieving current symptoms and preventing them from reemerging. As an avid yogi, she understands the body’s miraculous capabilities and works with patients to help discover and empower their strengths. She believes that everyone is capable of self improvement and works with patients to realize their full potential.
Dr Brock holds degrees from the University of Virginia in Mathematics and Sculpture. She became a physician after graduating from the Edward Via Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She continued her education in South Florida, completing residency at University Hospital and Medical Center as part of the PBCGME Psychiatry program. She has certifications from UPenn in Positive Psychology as well as Integrative Mental Health from the Andrew Weil School of Integrative Medicine.
